Today, I work on the two roofs for the roundhouse. After some experimenting with different techniques. I going to use masking tape to simulate a tar paper roof. I could of ordered some ChartPak paper tape in the approx. width, but I wanted to move forward with this project today, so I cut my own from blue painters' tape I had on hand.
First up is the lower roof, in progress photo
Lower roof trimmed and painted
Lower roof temporarily setting in place on the structure
Then move on to the upper roof, in progress photo
Upper (trimmed and painted) and lower roof temporarily setting in place on structure
Next up, interior lights and final placement of both roofs.
