Clarksville- Stock Yard - Part IV

Little more progress on the stock yard.

Had a little issue with the way the kit mfg intended the roof to go, so I solve the issue with making my own roof ridge row.

Finished up the loading chutes and started on the pens

Have a few more of these to install next few evenings

Clarksville- Stock Yard - Part III

Update from the last few evening of work. Started on the roof for the hay barns. Started by cutting the aluminum roofing into the proper length.

Instructions said paint gray, so I used the same Slate Gray paint and thinned so not to fill-in the details in the aluminum and apply multiple coats

Next apply weathering, I use Brunt Sienna and thinned it down and apply a line across the top and brush it down following the ridges in the aluminum then allow gravity to finish up.

Here is the finish product installed, but there is more to do.

Also started assembling the two of the four loading/unloading chutes

Progress continues on the Layout - 08 Jan 2012 Part 2

Over the last week I have been thinking about some of the other area of the layout. One of the industries I wanted on the Layout was a Oil/Petroleum Terminal, so here is the area I have been playing with

I am debating whether the sliding need to be in the front as show or in the back along the mainline. More to come...

Progress continues on the Layout - 08 Jan 2012 Part 1

Today I worked couple of area.

First up some track weathering/detailing before ballasting. Sprayed the track with "Grimy Black"

Then painted the rails with a Floquil Paint Pen "Rail Brown"

This show the difference were I stop with the rail painting

Got alot more rail to paint before ballasting
